Two-tone landscapePainting Porto Alegre - Brazil
The Landscapes in Two Tones exhibition presented more than 70 works in a variety of different languages – painting, drawing, photography, objects and sculptures. 46 artists were encouraged to think of a landscape based on two colours: green and red. “Each artist interprets and represents the landscape according to their poetics, in which the landscape can be real, imaginary or symbolic.’’ The viewer was invited to travel through two distinct and related worlds and seek a sensitive landscape, often linked to affection and memory, while discussing social and political issues, emphasized curator Ana Zavadil, Master in Visual Arts at PPGAV-UFSM. The exhibition took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art, MACRS in Porto Alegre / RS, from December 28, 2017 to March 18, 2018.
